The High Court has ordered the freezing of five bank accounts and four landed properties belonging to former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD), Dennis Miracles Aboagye, as investigations by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) continue.
The court order, issued on Monday, August 3, temporarily prohibits all transactions involving the affected bank accounts and prevents the sale, transfer, mortgage or disposal of the identified properties until further directives are issued.
The preservation order forms part of EOCO's efforts to secure assets that may be relevant to its ongoing investigation into alleged financial and procurement-related irregularities.

According to EOCO, investigators are scrutinising financial transactions and procurement processes undertaken during the period to determine whether any financial misconduct or breaches of procurement laws occurred.
Under Ghanaian law, investigative agencies such as EOCO may apply to the courts for preservation orders if there are reasonable grounds to believe assets could be linked to suspected economic or organised crime.
Such court orders are designed to prevent the transfer, sale or disposal of assets while investigations remain ongoing.
Aboagye Denies Allegations
Dennis Miracles Aboagye has denied all allegations against him, insisting that he has committed no wrongdoing.
He has been granted GH¢50 million bail with three sureties pending the conclusion of EOCO's investigations.
