Singapore Airlines is set to significantly upgrade its onboard connectivity experience, announcing plans to introduce Starlink’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-based Wi-Fi service across selected aircraft starting in early 2027.

The rollout will cover the airline’s Airbus A350-900 long-haul (LH), A350-900 ultra-long-range (ULR), and A380 aircraft, with full implementation expected to be completed by the end of 2029.

Starlink, which has already deployed more than 10,000 satellites in low Earth orbit, will power the service using its aviation-focused Aero Terminal. The system is capable of delivering speeds of up to 1 Gbps per antenna, offering what the airline describes as a major leap in onboard internet performance.
